This policy explains what Curb Coyote ("we," "us") collects when you use our website and our bin take-out and return service in Farmington, New Mexico, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Your name, phone number and email address.
• Your service address, the location pin for your bins, your trash day and recycling week, and how many bins you have.
• Access details such as where your bins are kept, gate codes, and special instructions. Gate codes are encrypted when stored.
• Your notice preferences, including whether you agreed to receive text messages.
• If you check an address or join our list, the address you entered and any contact details you leave.

Information created when we serve you

• Your service history, including when your bins went out and came back and any problems we noted.
• Proof photos of your bins at the curb or back in place. These may show part of your property.
• Records of your purchases, plans, refunds and the messages we send you.

Payment information

Payments are handled by our payment processors, Stripe for cards and PayPal. They receive your payment details directly. We store only the card brand, the last four digits, and the processor's reference so we can charge a saved card for plan renewals.

Technical information

• Our servers record your IP address and basic request details to keep the site secure and to limit abuse, such as repeated sign-in attempts.
• We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

How we use it

• To provide the service: scheduling, routing, rolling your bins out and back, and handling holidays and day changes.
• To contact you about your service, your account and payments, by text if you opted in and by email.
• To take payment, issue receipts and refunds, and keep the records the law requires.
• To answer your questions and resolve problems.
• To understand where there is demand for our service.
• To protect our customers, our crew and our systems.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only with providers that help us run the service, and only what they need:

• Stripe and PayPal to process payments.
• Twilio to send text messages, and our email provider to send email.
• The U.S. Census Bureau geocoder, which receives the address you enter so we can place it on the map.
• Our hosting provider, which stores our systems and backups.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

Text messaging. Mobile phone numbers and text message opt-in consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or any other purpose. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

How long we keep it

• Proof photos: 60 days, then deleted.
• Account and service records: while your account is open, and after that as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal requirements.
• Payment records: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
• Contact details from our list: until you ask us to remove them.
• Backups: kept for 14 days, then replaced.

How we protect it

The site uses encrypted connections. Gate codes are encrypted at rest, and access to customer information is limited to the people who need it to serve you. Crew access to sensitive details is logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you.

Your choices

• See or copy your information. Ask us and we will send you a copy of your account data.
• Correct it. Update your details in your account, or ask us.
• Delete it. Ask us to close your account. We remove or anonymize your personal information, keeping only the payment records the law requires.
• Messages. Change your notice settings in your account. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or HELP for help.

Children

Our service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we post the new version here with a new "last updated" date, and we tell account holders about material changes by text or email.
